Well, it is 2012! Which means that it is officially time for 12in12in2012!! Don't worry, after a few 10mile runs and one 12 miler, I'm feeling ready to officially get this party started! I'm looking forward to charging ahead in both the physical aspect and the fundraising aspect! There is no better feeling than knowing it is time to put your head down and focus at the task at hand.
The New Year always equates to resolutions and I've been asked recently what my resolutions are for 2012...and then most people stop to laugh at themselves because they know fully well that 12in12in2012 is my main resolution. But I'm finding the need to focus on a few smaller and more easily achieved resolutions as well. I need some resolutions that aren't quite so daunting as running 12 half marathons over the next year. I realized and additional resolution as I was in my Yoga class. And....drumroll please....the resolution was GO TO YOGA. Sometimes, I skip Yoga purely because I'm tired and lazy. But I am quite certain that it is one of the best things I can be doing for my body right now. Additionally, I enjoy it! Isn't it funny that you will sometimes allow yourself to miss out on things in life that you truly enjoy? I still don't know why I allow myself to skip Yoga when I truly enjoy every moment of it. But no more skipping for me!
I'm sure that other resolutions will emerge throughout 2012. I am a firm believer in always trying to better yourself in some way. I could go on and on about the areas of my life where I need improvement. But for now, I'm obviously sticking with the big scary resolution of 12in12in2012 but then also the resolution that doesn't quite scare me so much....going to Yoga!!
